Muscle Building Supplements
Taking bodybuilding supplements to aid in building muscle is not compulsory, but without adequate amount of nutrition you may need more time and energy to get to where you want to be and this may result in frustration. Not every supplement will work, but the right one will definitely shorten the time you need to build up some lean muscle.
Protein Powders
Protein powders provide your muscle with protein to rebuild and growth of muscle tissue. It is very useful when you are trying to build muscle – Since muscle building requires you to take in a lot of calories, eating solid food every 2-3 hours leave you very little room to breath especially if you are not the kind of person who eat a lot prior to starting weight lifting.
If you are a student who can’t afford to buy protein powder, there are plenty of alternatives available to feed your need. Eggs, soy milk, low fat milk, low fat cheese, tofu, chicken breast, tuna, etc are foods that serves the same purpose at an affordable price. Of course, if you are a vegetarian these protein powders can comes in handy when it’s time to get sufficient protein without consuming too much calories.
Fat Burner
If you are looking for ways to lose weight, cardio and weight lifting are the 2 most effective methods to lose those stubborn fats. Fat burner pills would probably have some effect but you still have to do cardio to see results. When the calories burned exceed calories taken, you will lose weight. Eat less & work more is the way to go, ditch those fat burning pills as you don’t need to rely on it.
Weight Gain Powders
You will only need this if you are a skinny guy & you can’t see any/little improvement although you have been eating a lot since you started weight lifting. Weight gain powders contain a lot of protein, carbs & fats, so this can give you some extra calories without forcing yourself to eat all day long. Because of the high content of carbs & fats, those who wish to gain lean muscle should try to avoid it as at the end of the day you might gain more excess fats than muscles.
Creatine
Creatine is supplement used to increase high intensity athletic performance. If you need that short burst of energy (Particularly during weight lifting) then creatine might be what you need as recent studies have shown that creatine can increase strength, energy, muscle mass, and reduce recovery time but again use this as a supplement as it can be naturally produced by your body.
